Private property is antithetic to nomadic existence. The accumulation of material wealth puts nomadic way of life at stake. The first reason is that it is hardly possible to travel with too much weight.
Private property also means accumulation of power
and potential domination of the many by the few. Nomads are naturally
opposed to any authority that attempts
to restrict their freedom of movement.
Linux is a good example of
the advantages of collective participation
and sharing. The collectivity, if united,
is superior to the individual thanks to its heterogeneity
and aptitude to adapt to changing
situations.
